Some of our favourite coffee shops in Glasgow

1. The Wilson St. Pantry

The WilsonSt. Pantry is one of our favourite places to go to-whether it is meeting up with friends on a Saturday afternoon, grabbing a quick coffee on your way to work, hiding from the rain or looking for a place to work on that paper that’s due in a few days.

It has a cool, laid back atmosphere with a minimalistic, yet stylish, interior design. It’s hardly ever empty, which speaks volumes for the quality of the coffee and decadent pastries, breakfast and lunch offerings.

My friends and I once stayed for 5 hours, slowly but surely making our way through the menu! I can tell you it’s that good. The staff is extremely friendly and you are likely to end up having a friendly and engaged conversation with them.

The not so ‘good’ - The kitchen closes quite early for those of us that wake up late and we had an issue with the WiFi not being quite up to speed when trying to get some work done.
Opening hours: 7 days a from week, from 8am-5pm
Location: Click here
Useful information:
Be sure to book a reservation ahead of time on the weekends as seats tend to fill up quickly.

2.It all started here

It all started here is an awesome insider coffee hotspot in the Shawlands area of Glasgow. They offer coffee from some of the UK and Europe’s best roasters.

The last time I was there they had trendy, up-beat electro music playing, for all the electro music fans out there. They also offer some fantastic sweet treats like coconut and chocolate macaroons and raspberry cheesecake brownies. The place is fairly small, providing you with the feeling of sitting right in your own home.

The not so ‘good’ - May be a bit of a journey to get there by public transport from the Merchant city. But it's definitely worth it!
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9am-5pm

3.Space Speciality Coffee House

The Space Speciality Coffee House is all about bold colours and strong unique flavours. The owners show a unique taste and feel for colours. The way the coffee is presented is a piece of art on its own. Apart from their classic coffee offerings they also have some cool latte alternatives (Matcha, beetroot, turmeric). So if you like mixing it up a little bit go for it!

4. Sprigg

Sprigg is a small urban cafĂ© on Ingram Street. Inside, you will find a few chairs where you can sit and indulge in your coffee. It has a reputation for being the perfect spot to grab a coffee and a bite to eat to-go on your way to work or university. Perhaps the best part of all, Sprigg is light on the wallet, as the majority of their coffees are only £2!

The not so ‘good’ - Their concept is that of a takeaway breakfast cafe - so not a lot of seating avaliable.
Opening Hours: Monday-Saturday 7.30am-3pm, Saturdays 11am-4pm, closed Sundays

Useful information: You can only pay by card.
